She continued her rampage with a lot of hard sends in Cuenca this winter and since this Spring, a new step has been reached. Around 2 months ago, she climbed her first 9a with “Cordia Maleficarum”. This route is a link between “Corazon Cofrado” and 9a+ from ALex Garriga, “Malleus maleficarum”. The day after having sent her first 9a, Ana was working the next project and a month ago, “El Intento” (8c+/9a) went down! “It was 2 months of pure dedication and motivation” she wrote on her Instagram account, before announcing a weel-deserved break.

Bon visionnage !

The Spanish peeble is in the spotlight with this cold and humid weather with 3 nic vids! Last October, the Spanish climber Ana Belén Argudo signed the first female of one of Cuenca’s historic route, “El Cavario del Sicario” 8c. Bolted in 1992 and freed one year later by Julio Fernandez, followed immediately by Dani Andrada and Stefan Glowacz, this beautiful double wave offers the most fun pocketclimbing! I
t’s pocketclimbing style again in the second video about “Wild West” 9a/+ first ascent by Tom Bolger (last winter). This line located at Espadelles, Margalef proposes a brutal mono bouldery entrance before a sustained 8c+.
As ending, here is the uncut send go of Alex Megos in “King Capella” in Siurana and its insane crimps. Enjoy!
